
Aurora is a historic river town that is situated 35 miles west of Cincinnati, Ohio, located in the Southeast corner of Indiana. Aurora was settled in the early 1800's and incorporated in 1845 and has strong historic connections to the Ohio River. Aurora is full of unique and historic buildings that preserve its older rivercity characteristics.

2021 Program Awardees Announced
In 2016, the City created the Downtown Strategic Revitalization Project and the FIMG program to stimulate reinvestment and to polish the appearance of the historic downtown. In 2020, after 3 years of success and noticeable investment downtown, the City expanded the program to include and encourage investment in the residential, Westside Neighborhood. Last year the City leveraged $50,000.00 to spur $209,803.69 worth of investment in the Downtown and Westside Neighborhood.
The Façade Improvement Matching Grant Program is administered and awarded by the City of Aurora. Projects are eligible for grants up to $5,000 and require a matching dollar-for-dollar expenditure. Program details and applications can be found below.
